Anders Giversen · Location Scout, Manager & Fixer · Since 2017
Customised, high-end location scouting for productions that require unique, unexposed locations. Rather than a public online archive open to anyone, every search is tailored exclusively to the creative vision of your production — discretion and originality as standard.
I work with locations that require particular knowledge — industrial environments, historic interiors, natural landscapes and distinctive places with strong visual character. I work across all of Denmark with particular experience in Copenhagen and Zealand. Each scouting assignment is delivered as a complete location report including photos, addresses, contact details and an assessment of access, logistics and production conditions.
As location manager I handle all practical aspects of the location, from initial negotiations with owners to the final reinstatement. I coordinate permits, access, neighbour liaison and work with authorities to ensure filming proceeds efficiently and without unnecessary delays.
For international productions I work as a production fixer in Denmark — a local partner who knows the system, the language and the landscape. I navigate Danish permit procedures, find locations that match the visual demands of the script, and coordinate local resources so production runs smoothly from day one. I have worked with productions for Netflix, Amazon Prime and international film companies, and I understand the practical and creative challenges that foreign productions face when filming in Denmark. Based in Copenhagen, available nationwide.
I have experience securing permits from municipalities, police districts, the Danish Nature Agency, cultural institutions and private landowners. Knowledge of procedures and the right contacts makes the process faster and reduces the risk of production delays.
Through many years in the industry I have built a network of experienced photographers, location assistants, runners, production assistants and other key roles. I can assist with both recommendations and coordination of local resources.
Denmark offers a remarkable range of locations within a compact geography — Scandinavian urban environments, industrial harbour districts, remote coastlines, historic manor houses and brutalist architecture, often within an hour of Copenhagen. The Danish film industry is internationally experienced, with a well-developed infrastructure and a straightforward permit system. A production fixer in Denmark typically coordinates between the international production, local authorities, location owners and crew — handling the logistics so the creative team can focus on the work. If you are planning a shoot in Denmark and need a local point of contact with experience across film, TV and commercial production, get in touch.
Below is a selection of locations I have scouted across Denmark — from brutalist architecture and underground showrooms in Copenhagen to historic manor houses, abandoned industrial buildings and unexpected natural landscapes.
Location scout, location manager and fixer since 2017, with a particular strength in finding the cinematic, atmospheric and unexpected — locations that make directors and cinematographers say "I didn't know this existed."
Before scouting, Anders spent years photographing the hidden and forgotten corners of Denmark — abandoned buildings, nocturnal cityscapes and overlooked industrial spaces — work that led to the photo books Natten er Vores og Mens Du Sov, and exhibitions at Copenhagen, Houston and Helsinki Photo Festival. That same eye for the overlooked drives the scouting work today.
Tell me about your project — type of production, location needs, timeline and budget. I work as scout, manager and fixer — I'll get back to you within 24 hours.
